Artist Statement
My work explores the relationship between
environmental sensibilities and the human condition.
With influences as diverse as Christo and Jeanne-Claude
and Jean-Jacque sempe,
new insights are synthesised from both opaque and transparent layers.
I have become fascinated
by the unrelenting divergence of the zeitgeist.
What starts out as hope soon becomes debased into a
dialectic of greed,
leaving only a sense of nihilism and the possibility
of a new understanding.
As momentary phenomena become reconfigured
through
studious and personal practice,
the viewer is left with an epitaph for
the limits of our culture.
