Artist Statement

Artist Statement

My work explores the relationship between
environmental sensibilities and the human condition.
With influences as diverse as Christo and Jeanne-Claude
and Jean-Jacque sempe,
new insights are synthesised from both opaque and transparent layers.

I have become fascinated by the unrelenting divergence of the zeitgeist.
What starts out as hope soon becomes debased into a dialectic of greed,
leaving only a sense of nihilism and the possibility of a new understanding.

As momentary phenomena become reconfigured
through studious and personal practice,
the viewer is left with an epitaph for the limits of our culture.

Chosen Dialogue for Rhonda

This is an audio video, I have designated for my Rhonda hermit crab character.
The part where she yells "It's me Rhonda! I shared my pudding wit' chu man, I gave you my snackpack!" Will be the part I will use for my Dialogue Project.

Rig broken down for ya'

Here is my Character Rhonda the Hermit crab
In this second illustration, I have broken down the main parts that move in my animation
In this third picture, I show the points of articulation with the parts that move and where they attach from. I have also showed the direction in which these parts move.
Everything you see here and in the animation below, was done through Flash.
I was able to create different layers and then convert them into symbols with multiple articulations in one set. Example: The left (orange and closer to us) foreleg has two articulation point. The first one has to do with the shoulder, attached to the body (the maroon figure directly behind it). The second articulation point is with the three orange, beige, and yellow part of that foreleg. It is able to move/shift forward and back giving it the shuffling/moving look it does.
